Dr John Knapton. Full time Partner

MBBS (Ncle), Diploma Obstetrics (University of Otago New Zealand), Family Planning Certificate RCOG, AFOM, MSc(Occupational Medicine) University of Manchester)
Dr Knapton first came to the practice as a Registrar in 1985 and returned as a Full Time Partner in 1988 after a period of working in New Zealand and completing his training in Morpeth Northumberland.
He is responsible within the practice for managing the computer system to co ordinate the care of chronic illness and maintaining our high achievement in the Quality and Outcome Framework.
He is experienced in Minor Surgery and Occupational Medicine.
Dr Cathy Roberts. Part Time Partner
Graduated Nottingham Medical School 1985.
B.Med Sci, MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, Family Planning Certificate RCOG,
Dr Roberts joined the Practice in 1990 after completing her GP Training in Northumberland.
She has particular interests in Diabetic Care and Women and Child Health Issues.
She is registered on the Child Health surveillance list and takes part in running our well Baby Clinics with our Heath Visitor.
Dr Tony Miller. Part Time Partner.
Graduated Glasgow University 1984

Dr Miller came to the practice in 2000 having previously worked as a Full time Partner in Yorkshire.
He oversees issues relating to Prescribing and Dispensing within the practice, and has an interest in Respiratory Medicine leading the care of patients with Asthma and Chronic Lung disease.
He is registered on the Child Health surveillance list and takes part in running our well Baby Clinics with our Heath Visitor.
He is trained in the techniques of Joint Injections a service he shares with Dr Donaldson.
Dr Rod Donaldson. Full Time Partner
Graduated Glasgow University 1989
MBChB, DRCOG, MRCGP, Family Planning Certificate RCOG.
Dr Donaldson joined the practice in 2001 heving previously worked as a full time partner in Scotland.
He is our GP Trainer overseeing the Training of our GP registrars on the Northumberland GP Vocational Trainig Scheme.
He is also registered on the Child Health surveillance list and takes part in running our well Baby Clinics with our Heath Visitor.
He is also trained in the techniques of Joint Injections a service he shares with Dr Miller.
Our Registrar.
Our registrars are fully Qualified Doctors who are undergoing Higher Training in General practice on the Northumberland Vocational training scheme. They are usually working with us for six months.
As part of their training they are required to Video some Consultations to be used for training purposes. This is only done with your informed consent and under rules of strict confidentiality.
We value your co-operation if you feel happy to allow some consultations to be videoed to help in this way but do not mind if you wish not to take part in this aspect of medical training.
You will be given information if a video session is taking place during the day when you might attend and be given the option to opt in or out of having your consultation videoed.
